Here, we speak kid—and kids speak play. Play therapy gives children a natural way to express what they’re feeling, even when they don’t have the words yet. Because let’s be honest—most kids aren’t going to sit down and give you a TED Talk about their anxiety or why they’ve been melting down after school. But they will show you through play, if you know how to listen.

Play is their language. It’s how they make sense of what’s happening inside and around them. Through stories, movement, art, pretend scenarios, and sensory play, kids can safely explore big feelings, process overwhelming experiences, and experiment with new ways of coping—often without even realizing that’s what they’re doing.

In a play therapy session, things might look a little chaotic on the surface, but there’s always intention underneath. We’re trained to track what’s being communicated through play, guide the process gently, and create a space where kids feel safe enough to show up as they are—messy emotions and all.

Play therapy can be especially helpful for kids navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, behavioral challenges, and tough transitions or relationship struggles. It’s not about “fixing” a child. It’s about meeting them where they are and helping them build resilience, confidence, and emotional flexibility in a way that makes sense to them.

We take our role seriously—and with a good dose of humility. We’re here to help kids feel seen, supported, and empowered to handle life’s ups and downs, at their own pace, in their own language. And around here, that language just happens to be play.
